When is a transaction considered post-dated? When is a transaction considered posted already?

A transaction is considered post-dated if its posting date is a future date. On the other hand, a transaction is considered posted if its posting date is today or in the past. For instance, today is March 12, 2008. A post-dated transaction is a transaction with a posting date of March 13, 2008 and onwards. A posted transaction, on the other hand, is a transaction with a posting date of March 12, 2008 or the past.
