What's an account statement?
The account statement is a snapshot of the financial status of an account. In other words, an account statement is composed of transactions of a given account for a specific period or date range you set. For instance, the account statement of the Cooper family account shown below consists of transactions from April 1, 2008 to April 14, 2008. It has an opening balance of $0 and an ending balance of $325.
