How are the search results sorted? Can I change the sorting method?

In general, search results are sorted by distance if you use simple search (e.g. Category/Business Name and location search only). However, if you include your schedule requirements or any other advanced search criteria or options (e.g. special needs children) as part of your search process, matched listings are automatically sorted first by relevancy, then by distance, then by alphabetical order. Relevancy is based on the number of criteria matching the provider's service details such as schedule. In other words, a better match translates to a higher ranking in the search results.

You can switch the sorting method between distance and relevancy. To sort by distance, click the Distance link. To sort by relevance, click the Relevance link. Both links are located beside the Sorted by: section in the Search Results page as shown below:

Note: The Relevancy sort option will only appear if you include schedule requirements or any other advanced search criteria or options (e.g. special needs children) as part of your search process.
