What is the Phone Validation System? How do I use it?
The phone validation system allows children's service providers to easily and quickly verify their identity. At the same time, it gives Parent Relief the confidence that the information being provided is correct. It also avoids spam and fraud.
With phone validation, the provider receives an automated phone call and enters the 4-digit code that Parent Relief gives in order to validate the business telephone number. By entering the code, the provider confirms that he or she owns the telephone number and wishes to advertise the number in Parent Relief's online directory. Only when the validation is successfully completed will the telephone number be incorporated into the online directory.
In addition, the provider has the option to validate the phone number now or later. If that time isn't convenient, the provider can return to Parent Relief again later and run the phone validation process again.
To maintain accuracy, phone validation is required each time the provider changes its listing (or provider profile) phone number.
Note: Our phone validation system currently does not support validation of a telephone number through rotary phones, a telephone extension (e.g. ext 319), as well as through VoIP (Voice over IP) telephone numbers.
